CRL Vienna 180 Series Glass-to-Glass Hinge – V1E180

Vienna 180º Series Glass-to-Glass Hinge – V1E180 is the ideal solution for accommodating wider, heavier doors that traditional hinges cannot adequately support. Featuring two strategically positioned steel pins within the hinge, it offers versatile mounting options for shower door hinges, catering to two different installation philosophies.

For optimal safety with “mouse-ears” cut-outs, it is recommended to keep the steel pins in place, allowing the Vienna Hinge to be used with its compatible CRL “mouse-ears” cut-out. Conversely, for enhanced adjustability, these pins can be removed, enabling the hinge to fit CRL’s rectangular, square-cornered cut-out. In some instances, it can also accommodate competitive rectangular, square-cornered cut-outs.

STANDARD REVERSIBLE PIVOT PIN: Each Vienna Hinge contains a Reversible Pivot Pin. One side of the Pin is marked at 90 degree. The opposite side of the Pin is marked 85 degree. Standard Vienna Hinges come with the 90 degree side activated. Pre-Set Models come with the Pin pre-set for 85 degree (5 degree tighter closure into shower interior). The Pin can be rotated (not flipped upside down) to activate the other side.

CUSTOM PIVOT PIN: Custom Pivot Pins are available to accommodate “off-angle” installations. As an example, you may encounter a wall that will not meet your door at 90 degree. If the standard 5 degree Pivot Pin contained in the hinge does not assist in closing the door to the position desired, you may specify the angle needed for a Custom Pivot Pin (up to 45 degree).

Using two hinges with 3/8″ to 1/2″ glass (10 to 12 mm) the hinge will hold up to 110 lbs. (50 kg) with a maximum door width of 28″ (914 mm).

Using three hinges with 3/8″ to 1/2″ glass (10 to 12 mm) the hinge will hold up to 140 lbs. (63 kg) with a maximum door width of 36″ (914 mm).
